MINI-BIO

Freelin has lived in the Coos Bay area most of his life. In his free time, Freelin enjoys surfing, snowboarding, mushroom picking, and spending time with his family. Freelin and his wife Kristine have two children: McKenna, 13 and Kai, 7.

WHAT FREELIN DOES AT COOSWA

As a monitoring technician at the Coos Watershed Association, Freelin runs all of our stream gauge flow stations, and is in charge of stream temperature monitoring and shade analysis. He is also proficient at road surveys and has led survey crews. In the office, Freelin does data analysis and GIS work in addition to being the resident computer expert.

Recently, Freelin was the first on the scene of a forest fire. He was able to dig a fire trail to stop the forest fire from spreading before help arrived.
