CoosWA's weather monitoring helps build a more complete set of data that captures long-term trends.
CoosWA resently secured Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) funding for 4 multi-parameter weather sensors to be installed at existing stream gages. These gages are the West Fork Millicoma, East Fork Millicoma, South Fork Coos (coming soon), and Tioga (coming soon). Theses stations collect air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, vapor pressure, solar radiation, wind speed/direction, wind gust, precipitation, and lightning strike count and distance.
